As we hold firm to the truth of being brought by God’s grace to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, to offer ourselves completely to Him, and having been baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to publicly display our profession of faith before one another, we ask for God’s sovereign help in renewing our covenant to one another as the family of God.
We will rely on the Holy Spirit and remember the love of our Savior Jesus in being united in brotherly love for one another.
We will prayerfully ask God to give us a deep and affectionate love for one another.
We will walk beside one another as faithful brothers and sisters, watching over one another with care, faithfully encouraging and tenderly correcting with God’s Word.
We will strive together to glorify God with our whole lives, helping one another look to Jesus, become more like Him, and enjoy Him forever.
We will not forsake to regularly gather in the name of Jesus for the sake of mutual encouragement in Christ, nor neglect to consistently pray for ourselves and others.
With the help of the Spirit, we will intentionally seek to watch over one another’s discipleship and offer our own discipleship to one another, while we also lovingly and prayerfully strive to seek the salvation of our family and friends by personally and corporately displaying and proclaiming the Gospel.
We will rejoice when one of us rejoices and weep when one of us weeps.
We will seek to glorify God in all we do, living by faith in the Son of God, and denying ungodliness, remembering that Jesus died so that we might no longer live for ourselves, but for Him who died and rose on our behalf.
We will work to preserve the testimony of this church by faithfully striving to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines. We will faithfully strive to live as having all things in common by faithfully giving to the church, the poor, and the advancement of the Gospel across the globe.
We will commit to one another, not out of obligation, but love. And if God calls us to move from this place, we will quickly submit to another gospel-believing church by holding up the nature of this covenant with them.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all.
